Sensei Satoru Sato established Shobu Aikido of the Berkshires in 1997, The dojo is a spacious 1,500 square foot Japanese Zen style environment. It is equipped with safe, soft tatami mats flooring for practice. There is a comfortable sitting area for viewing practice.

we are very friendly group, researching for spiritual and physical development.

Facilities include changing rooms for men and women, a bathroom, and a shower room. Safe and convenient parking is available.

THE SHOBU COMMUNITY

William Gleason Shihan 7th Dan established the first Shobu dojo in Boston. Over the years, Bill Gleason sensei trained many qualified students, and some of the most senior students have gone on to open their own dojos in many different locations. Every dojo in the Shobu lineage is affiliated with Aikido Schools of Ueshiba under the direction of Mitsugi Saotome Shihan.
